Iridescent Creatures is a catalog about animals or insects that have iridescent to their appearances. It’s designed it to be small so it feel more precious when holding, like all the animals are in your hand.
The catalog is covered in iridescent foil from the name tag that says Iridescent Creatures, its tag line “Beauty transcends Species boundaries to even the spine. When open, a full foiled spread except for the silhouette of the dragonfly revealing that the texture on the cover is the dragonfly’s wings. I designed the catalog is designed to be clean which type is supposed to give the attention to the creatures.
The catalog has 5 section: the introduction, birds, insects, reptiles and sea creatures. There are a few systems in the book such as the extreme close up photo spreads without any text, quotes spreads with foils, text becomes part of the animals. And finally a popup spread in the middle of the book. This give a surprise element when suddenly you can experience the beauty in 3D.
