Into the Wood

A program booklet for the Vermont Woodworking school in Vermont, that includes all the information, classes and schedules about their wood working workshops in the summer. When open the package, there are 3 components laying inside the wells of the package. A program booklet, a certificate and a mini pocket ruler.

The first component is the program booklet that has 2 corners diagonally cut out to create a sense of unity between the logo and the booklet. I chose the blue print concept because it reveals the process in wood making. The dashes lines are used through all the program booklet to show the structures and grids of the book as well to separate texts.  I also use them to decorate other elements like with the cut out circles and triangles that have the purposes to teach student different angle measurements and also to reveal the sketches on the next pages. Because the concept of this project is to show woodworking process, I chose to add pencil sketches in which they add a nice touch and balance long with other vector tool icons
